Toast Records has a mission! That of spreading, promoting and producing good Italian music. It all started way back in 1979 in very “underground” style. The city of Turin saw and witnessed the birth of MECCANO RECORDS. The initial idea was to promote the RIGHEIRA project. The punk change was just around the corner though and this brought the label to focus on a lot of stuff still considered fundamental in today’s international punk scene (RAW POWER, BLOODY RIOT, the RAPTUS. compilation). In spring 1985, out of MECCANO RECORDS, sprang TOAST soon to become TOAST RECORDS. a project that would make history in the Italian independent musical scene.
